For visitors traveling to Yangshuo, the famous Li River, which is a waterway between Yangshuo and Guilin, is a highlight of most travelers’ itinerary. There are a couple of different ways to travel from Yangshuo to Guilin as follows:

Yangshuo to Guilin – Li River Cruise
The Yangshuo to Guilin Cruise is a famous cruise operating upstream along the Li River between the town of Yangshuo and the scenic city of Guilin.
The Li River Cruise from Yangshuo to Guilin departs from Xingping Pier in the early afternoon and arrives into Guilin Pier in the late afternoon – approximately 4 x hours later. There is also a Guilin to Yangshuo Boat Cruise departing from Guilin in the morning and arriving into Yangshuo at around noon.
Yangshuo to Guilin – Local Bus
For travelers wishing to avoid the Li River Cruise, the cheapest and most direct option to travel from Yangshuo to Guilin is via a local bus. These buses leave from the Yangshuo Bus Station regularly throughout the day.
Yangshuo to Guilin – High Speed Train
The High Speed Train operates between Yangshuo Railway Station and Guilin North/Guilin West Railway Stations. Please note, Yangshuo Railway Station is located near the riverside town of Xingping which is approximately 45 x minutes away from Yangshuo Town whilst if you have the option of arrival station into Guilin, Guilin North is closer to the city center and better serviced with taxis/local transport options.
