The Li River in Guilin is one of the most famous rivers in China and even across the world. It is well-known for its karst landscape on both sides. The river has worked well for locals for hundreds of years. It starts its journey from the Cat Mountain in Xing’an and finishes it at the confluence of Lipu River, Gongcheng River and Li River. The journey lasts for 164 kilometers long.

The Li River flows from Xing’an, southward to Guilin City, towards to Yangshuo and finally gets to Pingle. The Li River runs through Guilin City for 49.3 kilometers long. It flows by several popular spots in the city, including Mulong Lake, Fubo Hill, Diecai Hill, Zizhou Islet, Liberation Bridge and Elephant Trunk Hill. The Elephant Trunk Hill offers stunning sunrise to enjoy while Fubo Hill and Diecai Hill feature the panoramic views of the Guilin City to admire. On the Liberation Bridge, tourists will appreciate the amazing views along the Li River at night.
