Lijiang River Tour is one of the don’t-miss activities in Guilin. It can take you to appreciate the typical karst landscape along the river and experience the local culture.
The Lijiang River Cruise Tour is one of the Lijiang River tours. Take a cruise to Yangshuo from Guilin and you may be amazed at the karst scenery along the river on the boat. The karst hills and the river make for the classical Chinese paintings. Usually, the cruise takes around 4 hours to Yangshuo. You can enjoy one from the 3-star, 4-star or the luxury Li River Cruise boats. The latter two offers Chinese buffet lunch on board while the 3-star boat just has a simple Chinese packaged lunch.
The private Lijiang River Motorized Raft is ideal for those who don’t prefer to share space with strangers and would like to spend less time on the river.
As at 3rd January 2020, there are two routes for the private raft on the Lijiang River. One is Yangdi – Nine-horse Fresco Hill – Yangdi and the other one is Xingping – Nine-horse Fresco Hill – Xingping. The former lasts for around 100 minutes and the latter lasts for around 50 minutes. The karst scenery of the both routes are stunning.
If you love hiking, it is recommended that you enjoy Lijiang River Hike Tour during your visit in Guilin. The section of the Lijiang River between Yangdi and Xingping Old Town is great for hiking.
There are several hiking routes along the river. One is Xialongwan – Lengshuitan, one is Yangdi – Langshi Village – Quanjiazhou – Lengshuitan – Nine-horses Fresco Hill – Xingping and one is Putao Village – Cuiping – Zhouzhai Village – Shikouzhai Village – Bijia Hill Village – Shangri-La Park.
Lijiang River Cycling Tour is a great option for those who love adventures. You could just enjoy cycling along the Lijiang River in Yangshuo. Or cycling along the river in Xingping Old Town is also amazing. You may encounter locals en-route.
As the Lijiang River is regarded as “the Mother River of locals in Guilin”, you could explore the old villages during your cycling tour.
