Last Update: 15th January 2023
Visitors to Guilin and Yangshuo normally choose to experience the Li River, either via an extended Li River Cruise (on-board a large boat) or via a shortened Li River Rafting experience.
Both options differ whereby the large boat offers more time on the Li River, although it can sometimes be crowded (if choosing the 3 Star Boat) whilst the Li River Rafting is a shorter time on the Li River.
The Li River Rafting operates along two main routes and in previous years has operated the full route (but currently, as at January 2020, this isn’t available). The 2 x Li River Bamboo Raft routes are as follows:
Both Li River Rafting routes last approximately 1 x hour with the Yangdi to Nine Horse Fresco Hill to Yangdi usually taking slightly longer.
Please note, persons over 65 years of age and/or under 120 cms tall are not permitted on the Li River Bamboo Raft as per marine bureau laws.
