Visitors to Guilin and Yangshuo have a priority to experience the Li River on the Best Li River Tour. Whether it be from the waterway itself on a private raft, hiking along the banks, traveling downstream on the large boats or climbing the nearby mountains, there are multiple different options and ways to experience the Li River.
Below, you’ll find one of the Best Li River Tours and the itinerary for a one day visit around the highlights of Yangshuo.
The Best Li River Tour will commence by meeting at your Yangshuo Hotel in the Yangshuo countryside or town. The meeting time is typically 9:00 am but being a private tour, there is flexibility with start time with the possibility of starting the day earlier or later in the morning. When you complete the tour booking, please advise us of your preferred time to commence the private day tour and this can be accommodated.
The first stop is Xingping Old Town – from Yangshuo it takes approximately 45 minutes. Upon arriving into Xingping, visitors can choose to take the Private Li River Cruise (additional fee) or commence the hike from Xingping to Da-Mian Mountain. This hike is along the Li River, featuring spectacular views of the River and surrounding Karst Mountains.
Da-Mian Mountain is located on the banks of the Li River and requires visitors to hike up to the peak of the mountain (which takes approximately 30 – 40 minutes). Once at the top, visitors are rewarded with incredible bird’s eye views. Afterwards, you’ll return to the base of the mountain to meet the driver who will then transfer you to the Yulong Valley.
During the afternoon, explore the Yulong Valley by bicycle – hiking along the cycling trails within the valley. Visitors can also choose to board the Yulong River rafts (additional fee) if it’s of interest. The afternoon will be spent exploring villages around the Yulong Valley as well as cycling to the Liugong Village, located on the banks of the Li River south of Yangshuo. After the cycling experience, you’ll be transferred back to your Yangshuo Hotel to conclude the tour.
